- Showed he is very adaptable to new and difficult situations. In his 2nd ARCA run on dirt, Bell took the lead for 13 laps and stayed among the top veteran racers throughout the DuQuoin race
- Bell held onto a respectable 2nd place finish after leading the most laps at Chicagoland, making a veteran-like decision to back down when he knew he didn’t have enough RF tire left to make the change or to stay out front
- Under-funded throughout the season, Bell and his crew had to be inventive and tough to hang with the front runners. They went to the season finale with a shot at pulling away second in points-a great position for a barely sponsored rookie effort.
