(Concord, NC - August 3, 2003) The month of July for TJ Bell and the No. 86 A Special Wish Foundation Chevy has run into nothing but bad luck. The start of August was a different story for the No. 86 NCTS team. Bell was happy with their 25th place finish.
"It's not the top twenty finish we were aiming for," commented Bell. "But it's a start. We had a great truck going into the race. It was a fast and fun track." Some minor incidents at the beginning of the race hindered the top twenty finish. During the first caution, another truck avoiding a spinning truck came up into the No. 86 A Special Wish Foundation Chevy causing some cosmetic damage to the left front side and a cut tire. This cost Bell to go a lap down.
"Even with all the minor incidents, the truck ran good for the rest of the race," replied Bell. "We returned our focus to our goal at the beginning of the year by finishing the race and bringing home the truck in one piece."
TJ Bell will continue his charge for a top twenty finish next weekend at the Nashville Superspeedway. The race will air live on SPEED Friday night, August 8, 2003 at 8 PM.
